# Abundance

Abundance spills its colors across a clear sky blue ground, as though a basket of fruit and flowers had been emptied all at once. A deep cobalt pool sits inside a ring of lime, a lemon yellow disc glows to the right, and below, a soft green circle holds a burst of cherry red and a pour of royal blue. Between them, a patch of terracotta and white has dried into fine cracks like sun-baked earth, and tiny drops of navy and red scatter across the gaps.

Colangelo was generous with every color here, setting each one beside the next and letting them crowd, touch and overflow. The cracked center has a powdery, sun-dried look, while the yellow and lime rise into a raised, sandy grain that catches the light. Part of her COSMOS series, the painting brims with gratitude and good things shared. Small enough for a shelf or a gallery wall grouping, it brightens a breakfast nook above an oak bar cart or a walnut dresser in a cheerful children's room, alongside lemons, trailing plants and woven baskets.

### About The Artist Content

Mandie Colangelo is an abstract painter based in Monterey, California. Raised in Arizona, she painted from childhood and wrote music, then built a creative career that moved through fashion, design, jewelry, graphic design and photography. Each chapter sharpened her eye for color, form and material. A season of profound change brought her back to the brush, and painting is now her primary practice.

Working in the abstract expressionist tradition, she builds her surfaces from acrylic, resin, street inks, pigment powders, fabric and, most distinctively, plastic, and treats each painting as an open experiment. Her paintings move between celebration and loss, memory and renewal. As she puts it: "More than anything, I hope my artwork inspires hope, joy, and reflection in those who experience it."
