# Dance of Spoons

Kitchen objects have their own choreography, and Corcelle has always understood the poetry of the everyday. Spoons appear here as graceful, elongated forms moving through a composition of mint green, lavender, and deep olive, and the whole painting has a rhythm that feels genuinely musical. The triptych format gives the work space to develop over time and across panels, the way a piece of music moves through its movements.

This is Corcelle at her most playful, finding in an ordinary drawer's worth of utensils a subject worthy of full attention. The painting is joyful in a way that is easy to underestimate, the kind of joy that takes real skill to make look effortless.
