# Tour de Force

Bold and unapologetic, this is Corcelle in full command of her materials. Deep crimson spreads across the canvas like a territory claimed, while geometric fragments and gestural marks push back, a conversation between order and instinct. Her background in landscape architecture surfaces here in the way space is divided and held, but nothing is rigid.

The painting has momentum. You feel the force of it. Marks accumulate and contradict one another in a way that should not hold together but does, through the kind of compositional intelligence that only comes from years of working instinctively and trusting the result.

Guided by curiosity and openness to process, she transforms color, shape, and found materials into works that are both dynamic and contemplative.

Drawing inspiration from global experiences and cultural textures, Corcelle has exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, including shows in France, Vietnam, China, Cuba, Peru, and Azerbaijan. Her work is represented in public and private collections worldwide, among them the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), the Boston Public Library, the Art Complex Museum, the Contemporary Art Center, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Hanoi, the Danang Fine Arts Museum, the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Universidade Feevale in Brazil, Las Casas de las Américas in Cuba, and the Permanent Collection of Château d’Orquevaux in Orquevaux, France.
