# Tulum

Your eye finds this painting from across the room. Tropical plants move forward into the foreground - agave and palm leaves catching a light that seems to come from nowhere. Behind them, the sky shifts slowly from magenta into deep violet, the paint opening in thin veins like something geological. At the center, a narrow line of turquoise ocean quietly holds everything together. Javiera has lived in Mexico for nearly a decade, and you can feel that landscape here - the density of the vegetation, the charged stillness of a tropical night.
