About

The Piece

Beverly Bigwood has had a long and fascinating artistic career, demonstrating endless creativity and energy in her endeavors. My goal was to truly emphasize the magnitude of her contributions and showcase all that she has accomplished, as well as what she continues to achieve, in the most organized and effective way for optimal online representation.

It was an enjoyable challenge, and I decided to present her latest work prominently. Drawing inspiration from the experience of walking through an exhibition or museum, I aimed to create a virtual space where visitors could decide whether to delve deeper into a specific collection. As you scroll down, it simulates a 'walk through the building', with an automatic rotation of image collections accompanied by compelling copywriting that narrates the stories behind the artworks, adding significant value. This format allows visitors to decide whether to 'Step In' and explore a collection further or to continue 'in the building' to discover more of Beverly's creations.

Our objective was to achieve an elegant and clean design. Careful consideration went into the selection of colors, and after observing Beverly's affinity for the color blue in her art, it became apparent that blue would be the most fitting choice.
